Rousing Sermon (Eclipse Sportswire)
I think Rousing Sermon is a better horse than he is being given credit for. He shows signs of a nice group herd dynamic and an individual dynamic, but his ability to develop that strong point is being limited by wearing blinkers. The blinkers inhibit his senses and his presence, and this is a horse that I would not want to do that to.
He has good time-in-motion skills, so I don’t think the Derby distance will be a problem, and he shows some grit. It is hard to say where he belongs on the herd dynamic scale because his development has slowed, but I like this horse.
